Productivity to Control Time
Yesterday’s topic was persistence. Part of staying persistent is productivity in your daily life.
There could be a number of tasks you have to get done daily. Other than everyday hygiene, you may need to drive to work for a commute if you don’t WFH.
If you have young children you may have to help them get ready for the day. The same goes if you're a caregiver.
Taking care of yourself and taking care of others goes into your productivity everyday.
Productivity is how efficient we are at completing tasks.
Finding a way to be more efficient at completing tasks is a much better strategy than just working harder.
You’ll find you can get a lot more done with less work.
A good strategy in productivity is prioritizing your tasks. What needs to be done first vs what can wait till later.
Setting goals and categorizing them into short term and long term goals gives you a clear path.
Writing your tasks down into daily, weekly, monthly, and even annual increments helps to see your goals take flight.
An example of a daily task could be drinking a certain amount of water. A weekly task could be doing laundry on a certain day.
A monthly task could be getting a bill paid on time. Then, an annual task could be planning a birthday party.
There are many tools and apps to help us with productivity. I bet you already use some of them.
Google calendar is available to everyone and probably under used by most. Evernote is a great tool to organize ideas.
An app like Notion is an all-in-one tool for note-taking, project management, and team collaborations.

Take advantage of these tools and watch your productivity skyrocket.
Distractions and procrastination are killers of productivity. Here are some tips for procrastination.
Clear your mind.
Take a walk.
Write down thoughts.
Meditate.
Whatever you do to clear your mind will help you focus. Clearing your workspace.
Clearing your desk and placing items in an orderly fashion is a great way to stop procrastination where it stands.
One tip I use for procrastination is making a planned time when I can goof-off aka procrastinate.
Improving your productivity long term will help your personal development by pushing you forward in life.
It helps your relationships because you’ll have less anxiety about work and you will be more present with the other people in your life.
You may even have more time for hobbies.
